AFSC Operations operates and maintains the Aviation Fuel Service System consisting of the Tank Farm, Receipt Jetty and Hydrant System. All were built according to the guidelines and international standards set by the oil industry to handle Jet A-1.

The Fuel Receipt Jetty is capable of receiving the product by pipeline or handling two 6,000 DWT barges simultaneously. The information at the Jetty is synchronized with the overall Facility SCADA system via a microwave link. This fuel is then transferred through 12km submarine pipelines to the Tank Farm. With a capacity of 220 million litres or 11 days of fuel consumption ranks Hong Kong International Airport among one of the largest aviation fuel depots in the world.

Its sister company, AFSC Refuelling Limited is responsible for 24 hours into-plane fuelling operations. Her high-tech fleet of hydrant dispensers is refuelling 11 million litres per day or over 290 flights. Apart from providing reliable and safe into-plane services, her on-truck computer system captures transaction data for the use of fuel suppliers and airlines’ operation.
